He not only had HC experience, but he raised the bar at SUU & had guys drafted (guys that certainly weren't predicted to be drafted when they got to SUU).

Let's not forget, he gave Jernaro his first D1 job, so it's quite probable Jernaro still considers him a mentor.

And yes, that's how we got Jernaro onto our staff in the first place.
