That's not to take away from Richie's hustle & value as a help defender — which will always be there.

It's too bad we can't play him more baseline like Knell. If we'd been able to pick up a guard like Lanier we could afford to do that.

But that's not what we got to work with. I trust Richie will continue to improve, but I don't think he's gonna be all that good at the defensive role he has right now. It's very different from what he did for us last season.
