schedules aren't made years in advance unlike football schedules.
Maybe a problem of bringing in too many NBA guys: that none of them knew the tricks of putting a good non-conference schedule together? It seems like they have 15 assistant coaches/staff. its disappointing that they neglected to bring in a scheduling guru.
Or perhaps they were relying on some bad advice from somebody that 3 interesting games out of 11 is enough and can fill up the rest with Q4 games? I know a lot of cougarboarders were in love with that approach. It worked out last season for BYU when BYU scheduled 4 interesting non-conference games last season and went 3-1 in those 4 games. But this year it has backfired when we are going to start out conference play from outside looking in for the Net rankings.
