Had no idea it’s closing down until they announced it before the show started. I’m not a frequent theater goer by any stretch, but still thought that was kinda a bummer.

Unless I’m mistaken, I believe the old Scera Theater is owned by the City of Orem. I wonder if they could take over the old Hale and keep it running.

Probably way too late in the process for that happen, though. Even if the city could afford it and had interest.

It’s weird and surreal that I can feel melancholy about a building closing. Human beings are sentimental creatures, no doubt.
