Long answer: I think the honor code is still a hard sell for football. There are relatively few kids willing to love that way and not party for 4 straight years, no matter how good NIL gets or how many wins we have. I also think that we just aren’t a unique program. Back in the day, with the Air Raid offense, kids could be excited to be a part of something innovative and effective. Now, we’re kinda the same as every other program.
