Utah will have a couple HS kids come in next Fall, but they will have to completely replenish their QB depth chart.
If they want a game-ready backup they'll have to go to the portal. No QB with any ability or aspirations to play football in 2025 will commit to Utah. Dampier is the OC's QB. He brought him in to start with two years to play. Utah will only be able to recruit QB scrubs or QB's coming off injuries (ie: someone like Gerry Bohanon).
And here's what adds to the problem, Utah doesn't have a great history with QB health. If Ja Beck decides to run his QB 155 times again in a P4 conference then that's asking for trouble. And if trouble happens there's no one left who's ready to take the reins.
