Carpet Tiles vs regular installed carpet
I've never had a room with those carpet tiles, but want to re-do the carpeting in a rental. I've had people tell me to go with carpet tiles because you can replace patches as needed in the future, rather than the whole room.

I'm considering it, but would like the feedback of the trusted council of Cougarboard before I get too serious about it. Pros/Cons.

I assume it's not too tough to install yourself, but do you use a carpet pad below it? If so, how does that installation work? Is it obvious that it's a tiled carpet once it's in?
