they did have to do a c-section to get them out, but blocking the exit ensured they got some extra time to percolate before delivery. ended up taking them out at 36 weeks and they were actually ready to go home before my wife was.
if yours are identical like mine are, I recommend using a fingernail polish or something to distinguish them apart until they develop enough individual distinguishing features. different hair style is also very helpful when they're a little older to be able to quickly identify them (especially from the back).
I never told my wife this until they were teenagers, but I also used to dress them in different clothes to identify them- one got all the reds/yellows/oranges and the other got blue/green. when they got older they self-gravitated toward those colors and other people even used them to help identify the twins. If he was wearing red, you knew which one it was.
