Consensual extramarital affair ≠ sexual assault of an intern

These coaches are millionaires who control extremely visible programs and get treated like kings when they're winning. Without apologizing for the behavior, I'd be more shocked to learn that a coach had been 100% faithful than to learn that he'd had an affair.

Even so, and with all those rumors, this plaintiff couldn't even get attorneys fees out of the University and RichRod. I can't stress enough just how significant that is—it means that her case was such dog-water that it wasn't even worth paying her to shut up and go away.

Just as telling is the fact that Arizona paid RichRod his buyout when terminating him. The program was in turmoil, the team was losing, they clearly wanted him out, and here comes the perfect opportunity to fire him for cause and save millions in the process. And they couldn't find enough there there to do it.
