I get that, but being able to sign multiple portal QBs means none of them were
good enough to scare away others and/or good enough to demand they be the only one you sign.
My point is that only being able to sign one means the one you signed is probably a pretty good player. That’s a good thing.
Carrying multiple starting caliber QBs is a luxury most P4 teams don’t have unless they develop them from within, which of course is Whitt’s fatal flaw as a HC.
