There’s probably a cheaper way to keep those rights then to make 3 terrible Spider-Man villain movies in the same year though (Venom 3 might have done fine, I don’t remember).

Then they turn around and get Disney to make the actual good Spider-Man movies with Spider-Man and they get a hunk chunk of the money.
