I also disagree with your premise; I've been on plenty of calls, even with in the last 3 months, where the screen didn't share (or the resolution was off, so the on-screen content was much too small or too big, or someone shared the wrong screen, or someone shared their screen instead of just the app window they wanted to share; etc.).

I'm in my 30s and fairly tech literate, so I very much doubt I'm on the wrong end of the bell curve...
