Good point. Let me amend. If people are going to label someone a "generational
talent" now, it means they think he's the best in that era, or at least that class, so he'll necessarily be chosen first. If people don't think a player will go first, it pretty much means they don't really think he's a generational talent.
People didn't think Jordan was a generational talent when he was drafted. That's why he wasn't drafted #1. He obviously turned into that however.
