If I recall
BYU was historically bad at scoring rushing touchdowns that year, so bad that when Rey busted the huge run against New Mexico and got caught near the goal line BYU ended up kicking a fg. The run against SDSU broke a long drought of BYU scoring a rushing TD.
This is entirely from memory so it’d be interesting to see if it actually aligns with reality. Rey Brathwaite was electric to watch.
