He served a two-year mission in Utah, and his dad played basketball for BYU. He's got the background we're looking for, and he's 6'7", 327. Started for Michigan twice this year at tackle. I wasn't aware of his foot injury, but that's an important thing to consider in evaluating why he didn't play more. Number 1 recruit in Colorado coming out of high school before his mission. Not a prima donna, either, as he's played every game on special teams as well as gradually increasing his PT on the OL.
I think the chances are good that he saw what BYU did with Etienne and Keim and felt now would be a good time to transfer there. I hope that's the case.
