So stupid that the CFP Committee has backed themselves into a corner not wanting
to apply conference championship outcomes appropriately IN EVERY WAY.
The way Arizona State dismantled Iowa State, it is clear BYU ran into a buzz saw two weeks ago. THAT IS A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON AN OUTCOME BYU WAS HARSHLY PENALIZED FOR. And yet, our Cougars made it a competitive game and were on the verge of winning it.
So, a win over 11-1 SMU and a tough, close loss to red hot Arizona State--two other teams in the playoffs. With 12 spots there should be room for BYU.
The only thing you can point to is the loss to Kansas, but anyone campaigning for that spot has something comparably bad on their resume.

Kansas wasn't even a bad loss. We should have won though. It's criminal how low we are ranked going into this week
