That’s not to say that the interest was not or is not real. That much I believe. He has been to campus several times after all. I can understand the reasons why he would seriously court BYU.

But I’ve always felt that a blue blood program would swoop in at the end with a full court press, a big wallet, and a very compelling pitch, which would probably sway him.

I think BYU has to actually build itself into a national brand by winning in the tournament for a while and making some deep runs before something like the AJ story actually comes to fruition.

I will be pleasantly shocked and amazed to be proven wrong here.
