go past. It's a simple gesture but I really like it and think I will do it in the future. Previously the stand had a picture of their dog and it said "Take a treat from Rufus" or whatever his name was. This year it says "Take a treat in loving memory of a great dog Rufus" and it hits me right in one of my few remaining feelings every time.

My kids are making christmas cards for them to drop off on our next walk.
