I thought the movie was great. It was as cheesy as you could imagine, but I found it funny and touching and all that stuff.

The one thing I didn't love was at the end of the movie when they were showing the pictures of the Herdman kids and saying what happened when they grew up. For Imogene it said that she was a mom and nobody every wondered where she was or something like that. I felt like that was a slap in the face to a character we never saw in the movie. The Herdman dad left and never came back, right? But the Herdman mom stayed and kept a roof over her kids' head. She was a single mom with 6 kids. Of course they never saw her, because she was out working her butt off to get by. I have 7 kids, and I feel like even though I have an okay paying job, it's barely enough. I don't think the Herdmans' mom is the villain I thought she was when I heard the story as a kid.
