I suffer from no delusions that anybody in that bubble is capable of winning the national title.


Yes, it would be fun, cool, and exciting if one of my teams made the playoffs, but from a macro perspective the committee's choice is largely irrelevant. It's a lot like choosing Teams 65 thru 68 for March Madness (in reality, it's teams 33 thru 68, but I'll stick to just the "last four in" for this analogy). Non of the last 4 in ever compete for the national title or even come close. That's how I feel about Team 12 in the CFP.


The same will be even truer when it becomes the "16th Team Bubble." Any team that gets left out should have done more to punch their ticket, and it was fully within their power to do so.
