Dead Cells is up there in my top roguelikes, maybe just below Risk of Rain 2 and
Hades.

One thing I really loved is that once you start struggling on the later areas, you actually get bonuses to keep the initial areas interesting. Things like clearing faster or not getting hit the whole time. Those really fixed my biggest problem with most roguelikes, being that the beginning areas are sooo boring.

Devs just made a new game called Windblown in early access right now, it's also pretty good.
