then kill it at a “lower” level of football and deserve a chance to play at the highest level possible. This is why the portal is a net positive.

I would much rather sign guys from USU and WSU who have been all-conference caliber players at that level than a guy who went to Mississippi State or wherever and never saw the field and is transferring for that reason.
