thanks from me?
My family went to the SMU game and afterwards we went down to the front row to high five the players. Chase Roberts stayed well after all the other players and luckily, we got a selfie with him.
My 3.5 year old son was instantly enamored with him. From then on any time we watched a game (or highlights the next morning for late games) he’d ask “Is that Chase Roberts?” every time any play happened. When it was him getting a pass or a touchdown he’d say “Chase Roberts is my favorite player, he’s so fast.”
Anytime we play catch my son has to do a “one handed catch” like the one Roberts had that I showed him when we played Arkansas. I told him typically we want to use two hands but can use one if it is particularly difficult to get to, but nah it’s all about one handed catches because “that’s how Chase Roberts catches.”
I know he’s going to the draft, and I really hope he succeeds but if he gets any feedback that another year would help his draft stock, I know one kid (and myself) who would be pumped to have him back.
