We should hammer hard: the best MWC teams ditched the MWC and went to various defunct conferences (Pac12, Big East) or Independence before ending up in the Big 12. Thus, any good Big12 team should be presumptively better than any MWC team without compelling game results telling otherwise.

(The same case could be made re: SEC vs Big 12. Honestly, I agree with this, too. It's fine to put 2 loss SEC teams ahead of 2 loss B12 teams. Giving an at-large bid to a 3 loss SEC team that is in a 6-way tie for 4th in the SEC seems like a bit much .)
