In order, starting with number one worst time:

- laying an egg in the final four or NC
- laying an egg in any other NCAA tournament round
- laying an egg in conference championship game
- laying an egg in early round conf tournament
- laying an egg on road in conf
- laying an egg at home in conf
- laying an egg against a bad team pre-conf
And as the absolute best time to lay an egg during the season - pre-conf away game against a good team. Not fun to have a bad game, but this is the situation to do so that will be punished least long term and mean the least long term.
