and Big 12 would eventually be turned on the bottom halves of the SEC and B1G. We already see it today. Look at Clemson and FSU. Both were/are demanding unequal shares now. I can see Ohio State, Penn St., and others squeezing teams like Rutgers, MD, Indiana, and Perdue to allow them to stay in the B1G. Same for teams like Alabama, GA, Ole Miss, and LSU, squeezing Ark., Vandy, and Mississippi.
Eventually you end up with 10-12 “elite” teams with the lions share and interest eventually waning because of the ostracizing of the “non-elite” teams. I assume most officials don’t care because they will get their $$ and leave when it really becomes a mess. Let someone else fix what the broke.
