Alabama, with bad losses to 6-6 Vanderbilt, 6-6 Oklahoma and then a
respectable loss to 10-2 Tennessee is a pretty crazy playoff selection. Oklahoma is bowl eligible because of their late season 24-3 beat down of Bama.
That's the one, above all else that shows the hand of the CFP model.
How it's not a 10-2 ACC or Big 12 team in that slot is a question for which there is not a reasonable answer.
