The committee has gone from publicly saying you won’t be punished for losing your conference championship game in prior years, to now openly stating they may actually punish for it this year. This whole system changed only to blatantly maneuver the polls for 1 ACC team, 1 BIGXII team, 1 G5, Notre Dame, and the rest will be SEC/B1G. I’m not sure the two lower-tier P4s can agree to this setup again when they are now at a disadvantage to both the others plus a 1-loss Boise State. This is crazy.
