refusing to say BYU 20 years ago and Whittingham continuing it. Why? It's disrespectful and we hate the disrespect directed towards us. Texas players instead of planting the flag, went out and starting stomping on or kicking the grass at midfield where A&M's logo is so similar type of deal. Again, it's disrespectful and we'd all lose our minds if Utah did anything like that at LES.
Any team has the right to do that kind of thing but you better be ready for the other team and its fans to fight back. Teams this last weekend acted as though they were entitled to plant the flag and not face any kind of blowback for it. If you want to dish it out, you better be able to handle the reaction to it.
In general, I don't understand why winning the game and celebrating with your teammates and fans isn't enough and that some feel the need to be complete jack-donkeys to make themselves feel good.
