Hear me out…..

Drake Toll has been hounding on CFP committee for their consistent double standard and SEC/Big10 bias.

I don’t think the CFP committee listens to Drake Toll FWIW. But he has referenced multiple times how the committee has said they won’t punish the losers of the CCG. However, I bet they can’t help themselves when push comes to shove. Especially if the CCGs are blowouts and it helps their cause to get 4 B10 and 4 SEC teams in.


I think BYUs chances are closer to 0 than 12% but the only slight chance they get considered is in the case of blowout CCGs.

If the following scenario plays out they would have to consider BYU

SMU blows Clemson out - only SMU from ACC gets in.

Oregon blows out Penn State - I think even in this scenario Penn State gets in with 2 “quality losses”

Texas blows Georgia out - makes the case hard to bring Georgia in especially if their 1 good win is nullified in a revenge game

ASU blows ISU out - cyclones are out of the conversation. BYUs quality loss is against the conf champs.

Boise State blows out UNLV - only 1 MWC team. A UNLV win would mean possible BSU at large.

The following would be in:
1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. SMU
4. Boise State
5. Notre Dame
6. Tennessee
7. Ohio State
8. Penn State
9. Indiana
10. ASU

They would then have to choose two of the following:

1. Miami (2L to GT and Syracuse, best W Duke)
2. BYU (2L KU and ASU, best W SMU)
3. South Carolina (3L LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, best W Clemson)
4. Georgia (3L Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas CCG, best win Texas reg season)
5. Alabama (3L Vandy, Tenn, Oklahoma, best W Georgia)
6. Ole Miss (3L UK, LSU, Florida, best W Georgia)

To me I just don’t see how you put Miami or Ole Miss in with those resumes. So putting us up against three 3L SEC teams. Gotta believe they put Georgia in here.


So are we in over Alabama or S. Carolina?
