BYU with win over ACC champ--SMU's only loss.
BYU with a loss to Big 12 champ--ASU. (One score loss and we were driving for the go ahead score.)
BYU's one other loss was also close. Can brush it off as a bad day or caught a hot team at the wrong time, as evidenced by Colorado beat down a week later.
Some other quality wins. (KSU, Baylor both 8-4)
20 point win at Wyoming. Arizona State also dominated Wyoming. Giving a comparable data point to Boise State who struggled in Laramie. Wyoming just beat Washington State.
BYU has a CFP worthy resume when looking at everyone else.
