BYU hasn’t done that. Our best win is in September against SMU. Then, we came out and struggled badly against Oklahoma State and Utah. The whole country watched us need miracles to beat 5-7 Utah and 3-9 Oklahoma State. We lost to a 5-7 Kansas team at home, then laid an egg in the first half against Arizona State. Then we struggled against an awful Houston team.
Yes, we have two losses like other teams who are in. But we didn’t really convince anyone that those were flukes when we played bad teams.
Indiana got blown out by Ohio State. How did they respond? They crushed Purdue. They destroy bad teams. They leave no room for doubt.
Advanced stats and metrics have us out. The eye test has us out. Our recent performances show that we struggle with bad teams.
There is one, maybe two at-large spots left. We haven’t shown that we deserve it, especially in the last month.
