I have my belt tail hanging out on my left and my ratchet belt's mechanism is on the bottom. I'd prefer that to a mechanism on top.

if you have something like a mission belt, it can only go one way, or else the buckle is upside down.

I wear my mission belt upside down. It's actually easier to click the unlock button
