Would placing all their practice balls in chest freezer overnight before each practice leading up to a cold weather game help with the preparation of such a game?
Would soaking balls in a bucket of water and running the sprinklers on practice field before practicing help prepare for wet weather games?
I would like to think that if you're well prepared for the conditions, you'll have a better understanding of how the ball will behave in those conditions and have a better touch and feel and anticipation for how to adapt and adjust to handle the ball more cleanly. That goes for throwing, receiving, running with it, and kicking it.
