Fundraising Campaign for Kimball Croft & Luke
 
Luke (my new kidney) and I had hoped we would never have to ask for a helping hand. But the expenses are mounting, and I’ve come to the realization that living on a fixed income and having to pay expenses that Medicare doesn’t cover, we need to ask for your help. 
 
Costs associated with a kidney transplant not covered (thus must be paid out-of-pocket), include:  
• post-transplant medical costs, like outpatient medical care and checkups,
• immunosuppressants for the rest of my life, among other drugs,
• being housed one block from the transplant center for 4-6 weeks following surgery,
• health insurance co-pays and deductibles,
• medical travel from Cody, Wyoming to Utah and medical appointments in Billings, Montana,
• plus more. It just doesn’t stop!
 
Because of all these tremendous expenses, I have chosen Help Hope Live to help Luke and me fundraise. They only fundraise for transplant and stem cell patients like us. 
 
We chose Help Hope Live over other options because once you donate, you automatically receive an IRS donation document in your email.  You can donate anonymously, if you want, and you can leave a positive comment for me and Luke to read and enjoy. The donation goes to my personal account in perpetuity. In case we raise more than needed, it stays in my account, and I can draw on it for medical expenses down the road. The medical costs don’t stop when Luke wakes up and is operating at 100%. 
 
I need to raise about $18,000. It won’t be easy, but with your help, we can do it as a community. The minimum donation is $10 (half a pizza or two drinks at a Starbucks), but I would appreciate $20 if you can. If you would like to, you can donate more as an individual or business. You can even donate on a monthly basis if you would like to. 
 


Luke and I are very appreciative of whatever amount you can afford.
