GT didn’t need to spike the ball on first and goal with :48 left.

I agree. Still :30 on the clock and they ran two plays. Fortunately they scored but the spike was a waste of a play.

Not only was the spike stupid.. they should have actually run the ball on that play. There was too much time left.
