If carrying was called today like it was when I was young it would be called every time a guard is dribbling. Sometimes it is sooo egregious. A player bounces the ball, and when it bounces up they basically let it sit on his palm as he surveys the defense, and then when the defense leans one way he goes the other.

I hate it!

Another that also annoys me but not as much is how double dribbles are almost never called. Seems to happen a lot when a player gets a rebound or receives a pass where after securing the ball and bouncing it once to secure possession. The hold onto it and then dribble again. Crazy.
