If she's driving, she's usually listening to folk music or Celtic or something, but I usually drive when we're together, and much of my catalog is off limits. She doesn't like the stuff that "gives me a headache." The problem is, our son who is often in the car with us has different tastes.
1. Boston (she likes them a lot, unfortunately, my son does not)
2. Fleetwood Mac (she likes, he's "meh" about)
3. Jethro Tull (they're both lukewarm about, but neither dislikes)
4. Iron Maiden (son really likes, wife will tolerate Seventh Son album only)
5. Tool (my son's favorite band, my wife thinks Fear Inoculum is "okay," the rest is too headache inducing)
6. Styx (my wife really likes, son thinks is so-so)
7. Rush (my wife likes, son is "meh" about).
8. A whole bunch of stuff my wife hates and my son loves.
9. A whole bunch of stuff I like, but they both dislike.
If the other kids are home and going somewhere with us, it gets exponentially more complicated.
