No, there are very few similarities. My comment stands. Only similarity
would be both seasons included a 4 game losing streak. Offense is much better this year. D is night and day difference. Record is night and day different. 9 game win streaks have only happened 4 times in BYU history. Or is it 5? I think it is 4. After making the top 25 BYU has remained top 25. In every CFP rankings. Which of those is similar to last year?
