Reason being….Texas and OU left.
The ‘experts’ said it was going to take these newly added teams a few years to catch up to the big boys.
BYU faltered the first year…’as was to be expected’ by the ‘experts’.
BYU followed that up with a 9-0 run, dominating the conference. Woohoo! Great for BYU! Terrible for the conference because now that confirms what ‘the experts’ thought all along…that the B12 was made up of good teams Texas and OU….and everyone else was not on that level.
So when BYU almost runs the table in year two….it only confirms the conf weakness to the stupid pundits. Not that BYU was nearly equal year one.
‘The experts’ down graded the whole conference thinking the remaining Big 12 teams were lesser teams more on the G5 level rather than BYU upped their game to the higher P4 level.
They dont realize BYU has been playing big boy football for half+ their season as independents for the last decade.
It’s all such a sham
