Here's my biggest problem with what happened. You have thousands of crazy fans on the field surrounding the referees who are trying to follow the rules and review the play. At the same time you have a head coach going bizzerk at the officials, creating a physically unsafe environment for officials to make a call against ASU. The officials were clearly uncomfortable with being stuck in that mess.

Did it affect what they did as officials? Hard to know, but maybe. My hat is off to those guys for making the correction that the game still had 1 second left.
