Just look at Taylor Hendricks from last year...he was not ready to play in the NBA and was not able to gain practical development in an NBA rotation...he spent a chunk of time in the G league last year and then looked like a real NBA player in the preseason and first couple of games this season.

Cody is not ready to play in the NBA right now. I was hopeful early on that wouldn't be the case. The Jazz tried to get him development through minutes in real NBA games, but he was so tentative, that the minutes were not developing him at all. I think Will made a good point a few weeks ago that it's fine to let the kids play and learn in games, but at a certain point, you still have to do something out there and show improvement. You can't practically say to Lauri, or John, or Collin: "I know this kid is really struggling to do anything out there, but for the good of our future, just keep giving him the ball even though he won't shoot or airballs corner threes when he does or turns the ball over."

So send him to the G-League where he can get real minutes outside of the NBA pressure cooker and learn to play within an NBA offense. And then later in the year, bring him back up when he can develop at the NBA level. And he very well may do that and turn into a good NBA player (he's very young, he's very thin).
