Yeah, way too many teams. Bump it to 16 w/ 6 auto-bids for conf. champs
...and 10 at-large.
The SEC/B1G cartel will undoubtedly want four bids guaranteed to them, but they will likely get 3-4 teams in every year anyway, so there is no practical need to write that into the playoff rules.
