I don't think Batty's speech was the first of the raw, raw speeches but there have a decent amount of games this season where a raw, raw speech hasn't been necessary.
I think Kalani's approach to it all is to let the players figure out whatever method of way of motivating themselves works best which IMO that's fine. I think it's better that the coach let the team figure out ways to solve their own problems and his job is to act a manager and work through and resolve whatever issues the team has.
