We’ve had a couple experiences where we tried to beat the weather and just got rained/snowed on the whole way.

We almost died doing a night drive from Spanish Fork to Albuquerque to beat the weather. Every weather app in existence would tell us “It’s snowing where you are, but it’s clear in the next city (and will be for the next 2 hours)” and the weather info was wrong every time. It snowed on us all the way to Albuquerque (and the next day, all the way to Amarillo) and then rained the rest of the way to Dallas.
