IMO, just focusing on the play itself and whether it was intentional grounding, it is obvious it was. But all the other crap going on made it take a back seat. Kalani claimed the refs told him it was at one point, which would further explain why all the sideshow stuff had an impact on it actually getting called in the end. If there wasn't the mass chaos with declaring the game over, back-pedaling to review how much time was left, dealing with the fans rushing and covering the field, dealing with the coach acting like a jack-yewt while they are trying to just review if there is time left, and every other crazy thing going on the field at that time with everything else happening...I think that call would have been made every single time.
