28 year old freshman, Solomon Kipchoge, of Texas Tech has run a 59 minute half marathon and was considered a lock for the top 10. He was a DNF.

Justine Kipkoech of Eastern Kentucky was thought to be a lock for the top 20. He was a DNF.

Fouad Messaoudi of Oklahoma State finished 10th in 2023 but finished 222nd on Saturday.
