LaVell's final home game in 2000 was probably the coldest. It was a beautiful day but it was probably 25 degrees by the time the game started. New Mexico.
Fall of 2000 I worked for the BYU AD and we'd set up for gymnastics and other athletic events. BYU paid 2 of my friends and I $10/hour to sleep on the field the night before the NCAA women's soccer match to ensure no one got on the field and tried to mess with it. I think it might have been the same weekend as LaVell's last game. It was in the teens and we did not come well equipped.
