Normally, BYU fans are the least negative of the two. The Eagles can go to a Super Bowl with a coach one year and want to run that coach out of town within a couple of years.
I saw it with Reid and Pederson and I've seen the same with Sirianni.
It's not just that the team loses, but how it loses.
Right?
Right?
Right?
It was only a couple of months ago when the Eagles were beating the Falcons by 3 points with about a minute left. The Eagles had the ball at Atlanta's 10 yard line and it was 3rd and 3. I A first down would essentially win the game. Behind perhaps the best offensive line in the NFL, Hurts dropped back to pass and Barkley was wide open in the flat. A catch would be a first down or even a TD if Barkley shows to walk into the end zone. Instead of either, however, Barkley dropped the pefectly placed ball. A Jake Elliot field goal extended the lead to 6 on 4th down.
In about a minute of game time later, Kirk Cousins completed a pass to Drake London in the end zone for a game tying TD and a Younghoe Koo PAT gave the Falcons the win.
Behind that offensive line, how could the Eagles not just pound it up the middle and win the game? Fire Sirianni! Fire Kellen Moore! They're so dumb. What were they thinking?
Saquon "MVP! MVP! MVP!" Barkley dropped an easy pass that would have won the game, but the loss was on Siranni and Moore in the eyes of the fans.
Sirianni has coached the Eagles to a Super Bowl.
Kellen Moore is a guy fans around here want at BYU.
They're both bums if you listen to the fans.
Well, at least they WERE bums a couple of months ago. Fans are softening on them as the winning streak continues.
I know that many of us think that BYU's coaches are the absolute worst, but I sometimes wonder if we'd like any coach for very long. We're not as bad as my fellow Eagles fans, but sometimes it's close.
