As petulant as he is, I have to think his ego won't let him retire after a season like this. He's no Lavell.

And yet, next year could be a pretty big risk, for the following reasons:

1. They lose a lot of senior talent on both sides of the ball.
2. I suspect they will see a mass exodus from the portal.
3. Their QB situation looks dire.
4. They don't have an OC.

Admittedly, if Whitt returns, they will likely not repeat what happened this year, finishing at the bottom of the league (I think this year was an anomaly), but I do think Utah would be in "re-build" mode next year, and I don't think Whitt would want to end his career that way.
